Wizard World:Struggles of dimensions

Chapter 47

Seeing the enemy Zahir didn’t think twice he fisted out sending plumes of his iconic blue flames to the opponent, the blood kin moved rapidly, the air moving with him and aiding his movements dodging the blue flames, the blood kin appeared behind the unsuspecting Zahir and with an unconscious crazy laugh pushed outs its dry twisted palms bending the air and sending forward a huge gust of sharp wind.

‘behind’ a majestic old voice barked in Zahir’s ears, he didn’t think twice, he created flames at his feet, the blue flames pushing him forward rapidly giving him enough time to twirl his arms forming a ball of flames around him for defense.

‘boom’ the blood kin’s attack hit sending Zahir into the wall of a nearby building, drops of blood slipped out Zahir’s teeth the hasty defense created by Zahir had not been enough to fully exempt the previous attack after all the opponent was a grandmaster and Zahir was still just a master.

‘dodge’ moving his head to the side Zahir successfully avoided another ball of compressed air that was sent his way, moving his body from the cracked wall Zahir twisted and avoided the numerous attacks still sent his way, he used his palms and feet to make flame like boosters that sent him out of the area of attack. ‘its time Zahir, you have proven yourself already, there is no need to do anymore.’

‘yes master’ Zahir replied with a hint of joy, hearing his master affirm his efforts once more made him elated.

A few days before after Layton had woken up the sleeping Roh, they encountered a snag in the plan of having Roh’s consciousness help Zahir out during battle so he could exert grandmaster level combat power, after various attempts it was decided that Zahir’s consciousness was too strong and active for Roh to intervene, the only way was for Zahir’s spirit to be weakened and calm, and thus the only easy most accessible was through paraceum flower cigars.

Originally Zahir was supposed to use it normally before the battle so Roh could take over but Zahir was unwilling, he had just got his master back and he wanted to show his master how much he had grown.

A sharp sound brought Zahir out of his chaotic thoughts, a slender almost transparent thin blade of wind was birthed as the blood kin sliced his palm through the air in Zahir’s direction.

.....

With a flip Zahir leapt out the way of the sharp slender wind blade that sought to tear in half everything in its path, by the time he landed the cigar had already been in his lips and had already been ignited, releasing its unique smoke and fragrance and slowly filling his lungs.

Zahir stood there mesmerized, his pupils slowly lost focus and he paid no attention to his surroundings also ignoring the whirlwind of sharp wind newly summoned and heading his way.

Before the wind touched his clothes, his top was already torn to shreds revealing the magnificent dragon tattoo that was embedded in the skin of his chest.

The tattoo seemed to burn and glowed orange as the whirlwind submerged Zahir, and then a huge ball of orange flames like a comet tore through the whirlwind forcefully dispersing it and heading towards the unprepared foe.

Feeling the force and the wind brought by the rapidly advancing flame, the blood kin followed the direction of the wind and like a piece of paper floated downwards avoiding the attack while letting out a neurotic laugh.

Before the blood kin could stabilize himself and prepare to launch another attack, he found a flaming Zahir behind him looking at him with a different glint in his eyes, the blood kin’s neurotic laughter abruptly stopped as a flaming fist that emerged like a dragon soaring to the skies pierced through his head burning his brain to pieces as it did so.

Before his head was run through the blood kin eyes was devoid of shock but was filled with curiosity as if asking how Zahir had come behind quietly while avoiding his wind perception.

The answer was simple, Roh who had taken over Zahir’s body after releasing the huge flame comet used his profound experience and control to coat himself in flames, quickly following the same path as the attack released before Roh was able to deceive the blood kin’s perception which was already faltering because of the change in air pressure caused earlier by the flame comet.

The headless blood kin member turned into red particles, infecting the air and spreading rapidly, Roh who had noticed the change earlier used his flames to shoot himself out of the range of the ominous mist.

Although he moved rapidly he was still infested by the mist, his blood and inner organs were wailing and little sips of blood started leaking out from his pores and lips, taking a deep breath and trying to use his breathing technique to harness spirit particles, the symptoms were only suppressed but not for long, he couldn’t even fully enter the state as this was not his body.

Coughing out a blot of blood Roh took a stance held his breath and pushed both his fists out sending out an inferno towards the area in front of him infected by the red mist.

The hot orange flames licked everything in sight turning it into a scorched land but the mist remained unharmed still spreading out slowly and unhurriedly while neurotic laughter could be heard in its depths.

Seeing this scene Roh couldn’t help but cough out more streams of blood, the suppressed mist in his body was getting out trouble, ‘let me help, master, my blue flames can deal with it, the mist gives me the same feeling as the spirit creatures I have dealt with before’ Zahir’s voice resounded in Roh’s mind.

Through the quick training some days ago it had been found out that they both could inhabit the same body and blend their spirit and bending, but it was dangerous, there was a high risk that one of them would be lost and destroyed forever, or the merger would be permanent and a new consciousness would be born.

Zahir seemed to feel Roh’s reservation and screamed in his head ‘stupid old man, if we don’t do this we will die now I am not a kid anymore, it is my decision and my body and I am not allowing myself to die because of your stubbornness.’ Zahir’s ranting brought a smile to Roh, he couldn’t help but remember the times he and his apprentice had spent together, Roh had to admit that although Zahir was reckless, he always had a unique instinct, and his reckless decisions never really caused permanent damage, plus Zahir was right this was a life and death battle, there is no way to run, it was just a matter of prolonging their time of death if he continued being stubborn. ‘okay, this old man will take a gamble with you.’

Taking out another cigar igniting it and taking a sip, Roh closed his eyes as if giving up, the mist rushed forward to quickly devour him before the mist touched his face, the cigar was burnt through turning to ash and his eyes opened and glowing peculiarly, his left eye glowed orange and his right glowed blue, squeezing his left and right fists that were giving off orange and blue flames respectively, with a shout he thrust his palms into the red mist sending out huge streams of orange and blue flame into its depth.

A pained shriek rang out as the mist quickly shrank away, Zahir who was now coated in red and blue flames rushed into the shrinking mist intending on finishing the battle.
