Chapter 582 Calis's Report

Keng sighed as he brushed his wet hair. He planted a seat across from Rell and Calis. Rell fawned over Calis\'s muscles, who didn\'t think much about her actions. He was proud of his muscles and scars. Now that Keng wasn\'t in constant danger, he noticed Calis was quite big. Big arms, big chest and even the abs. They were well defined. The blonde Merman had sunkissed skin and finished his conversation with Rell.

"Are you sure you don\'t want anything else?" Rell asked. "I could give you so much more, y\'know." She was definitely drooling on him. She couldn\'t have Keng, so she went to Calis, who was probably a much better choice. Keng moved the towel around his neck as Calis looked at Keng.

"What do you want? You\'ve been asleep for days." Calis asked.

"Days?" Keng asked. Calis nodded. He shifted in his spot, settling into the couch.

"Mmm, but what do you want to eat first? We should satiate your hunger." Calis asked. Rell looked at Keng, pulling away from the Merman. She had realized Keng was there and the mention of his hunger had drawn her attention to the matter at hand — his hunger.

"What time is it?" Keng asked.

"Mmm, not noon, yet. Want breakfast?" Rell asked, lifting an eyebrow up.

"Sure." Keng nodded.

"The usual, dear?" Rell asked, standing.

"Loads of sausage." Keng nodded.

"Pancakes, eggs and sausages. Where do you even put all of that? You gain no weight!" Rell commented a bit jealous of his metabolism. Keng smiled as Rell moved to the kitchen behind the counter.

"So now that that\'s being taken care of," Calis drew Keng\'s attention. "We should talk about what happened."

"What happened?" Keng asked. He looked at the opposite wall to him, memories coming in. The memories played quickly, giving him a quick summary of what happened. "Ah, that."

"You were passed out in rubble when we found you." Calis told him. "The cave was crushing on itself. We found you and Vizo had to carry you out."

\'Thank god.\' Keng sighed. Calis didn\'t seem to catch his sigh as anything else and continued on.

"We managed to get out and get back to the village. Calis and the other healers did an assessment on you after they healed you and Lily and noticed you had taken a lot of Lightning strikes. It destroyed some energy gates, but thankfully they could get you up here to a specialized healer." Calis informed Keng.

"Specialized healer? Who?" Keng looked over at Rell. She hummed as she whipped up breakfast for Keng.

"Miss Rell, of course." Calis answered. "Who else did you think could heal you? The next specialized healer in that category would be in the Northern Region."

"Rell\'s a specialized healer?" Keng asked a bit too loud.

"You don\'t believe it!?!" Rell asked, loudly. She was turned and facing him. Keng grew quite intimidated by her and turned away. "Yeah, I healed you! You were basically acting like you were a burnt skeleton of nothing! There was so much wrong with you! And not only that, there\'s something wrong with your Soul!"

Keng gulped. His hands squeezed at his shorts. His body language quickly changed and Calis caught it first while Rell continued on.

"What are you doing with your Soul? I know you said something happened between you and your Vessel, but you and him have to figure that out before its too late!" Rell shouted at him. She might\'ve been a Fox Spirit who was interested in all kinds of sexual things, but her healer background was definitely showing. "You understand what I\'m saying, Keng?"

"Yes…" Keng answered. He looked up to her and gave her a nod. She didn\'t want to take it but Calis interfered before she could continue.

"Miss Rell was able to heal your energy gate injuries, but you should be careful with what you do. You exhausted yourself faster because you continued to use your energy. If energy gates get attacked or destroyed, they could cause the body to become unstable. The flow of energy is different and your body only knows what it knows. It\'ll harm itself if you aren\'t careful." Calis explained. Keng nodded, not looking at him. He pulled the towel onto his head and seemed to go into a thought.

"I\'m only reporting what I was told." Calis added. "We\'re just glad you didn\'t die. Other than that, there\'s something I need to ask you about."

"What?" Keng asked, looking up at him.

"The firefly. Did you catch it?"

Keng looked at his hands for awhile. His mind ruminated about Rell\'s concern. He had damaged energy gates and didn\'t even know that. He was a complete novice when it came to this kind of stuff.

\'Having limited knowledge sucks.\' Keng thought. \'I\'m lucky I didn\'t destroy any gates… It could\'ve been worse.\' Calis studied Keng. He was definitely a strong warrior. Smart and capable of acting out on plans that shifted and turned based on the tide of battle.

\'If his fate wasn\'t like young Savior said it was, I would ask him to train with me.\' Calis thought. Having strong warriors was one thing, but meeting strong warriors whom could further the political party of the Merfolk and the Fox Spirits would\'ve been a powerful move. Calis\'s father played politics with Merfolk Leader Zax and Pea\'ir\'s leader, Jyu\'so, so he naturally picked up on this.

\'Such a shame.\' Calis thought. \'I should train with him the next chance I get. After we retrieve the cup.\'

"Did you capture the firefly, Savior Keng?" Calis asked, again. Keng snapped out fo thought and looked up.

"Hmm? The firefly? What about it?" Keng asked.

"Did you capture it?"

"Yeah. Well.." Keng tilted his head as Rell walked over with plates of food. She set it down in front of Keng and Calis. She took a glance at Keng before turning.

"Thank you." Calis told Rell.

"Thanks for the food, Rell." Keng smiled.

"Yeah, yeah. Y\'all talk business, I\'ll be in the back. If you need a drink, help yerself." Rell motioned at the bar. Keng grabbed his plate and utensils and started to eat while Calis watched for a moment before grabbing his food.

"I got it." Keng told Calis. "The strange thing was the wisp hid behind me from the scabbard. The scabbard slammed into me, sending me flying onto the ground and sealing the wisp."

"Within you?" Calis asked, eyebrow raised. Keng turned, revealing his arms. Calis noticed the tattoos. "Cool tattoos?" Keng pulled a hand out and raised it.

"Hydrosphere." Keng called out. The dagger appeared in his hand as the tattoo marks glowed. The silver circle was a clear representation of the Silver Sun, Vox\'su. The light blue lines that zig-zagged down to his elbow were Hydran\'s markings.

"A warrior of the Merfolk would wear markings like that." Calis pointed. He turned and revealed the markings on his back. They were similar to Keng\'s except his didn\'t have a silver sun on it. "It\'s mixed with the silver sun. You are definitely intertwined with the two gods. As for the dagger, I\'m not sure what I understand about that."

Keng stood up and handed Calis the dagger. He sat down and wolfed down his food as Calis studied it.

"This reminds me of the scabbard." Calis ran his fingers on the handle of the dagger. "And what\'s this moving around the blue jewel…?"

"The firefly." Keng replied.

"So you did get it?" Calis looked up at him. Keng nodded as Calis handed the dagger back to him. Calis watched it billow into dust as Keng continued to eat. "So you caught it… That means we can figure out where to go now. I\'m assuming you didn\'t get that far…"

"No." Keng shook his head, letting a yawn out. "I didn\'t really get that far. I was more worried about getting out of that cave."

"You\'re lucky you are quite sturdy. The rocks could\'ve crushed you." Calis accidentally gave him a back-handed compliment. "I\'m quite honored I\'ll get to travel with you."

"Travel?" Keng stopped eating and looked up at the Leader. Calis nodded.

"You\'re going to Earth, are you not?" Calis asked. "I\'m coming with you. That was decreed by Village Leader Zax."

"W-wait… You guys already decided on this? Without me?" Keng asked, setting his plate down.

"Well, yes… My people are dying from a strange disease."

"But not enough time has gone by…" Keng whispered. Rell stepped out of the back, catching Keng\'s attention. "Rell, how much time has gone by on Earth?"

"Why do you ask? I\'m not good at conversions." Rell moved to the bar and pulled one of the chairs out and sat on it. "About two months?"

"Already?" Keng whispered.

"What\'s this all about?" Calis asked, confused. Keng\'s foot tapped erratically as his eyes looked elsewhere. His face grew serious with worry.

"I have to get back then." Keng stood up.

"You should meet with the Leader first." Calis informed him. He set the plate down and stood up. "Young Savior is still down there."
